Weddings are emotional occasions. The celebration of love and happiness is contagious and it’s a day where everybody comes together to celebrate the best feeling in the world.
It’s pretty mandatory to have a packet of tissues with you, but guests at this wedding needed a box of tissues as the beautiful bride walked down the aisle. Elizabeth and Scott met on Tinder two years ago and immediately fell for each other. Scott began to lose his hearing at the age of 5-years-old and by the time he was 8-years-old he was completely deaf.
Mother of two, Elizabeth, didn’t know Australian sign language when she first met Scott but she began to pick it up as she fell head over heels in love.
The couple married on January 27 2018, and in the lead up to their special day, Elizabeth began preparing for a special surprise.
Three months before the Big Day, Elizabeth started teaching herself the lyrics and sign language to the song, ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri. On the big day, as Elizabeth stood at the top of the aisle ready to walk towards her husband-to-be, the beautiful song began to play. As she signed the entirety of the heartfelt lyrics, Scott was moved to tears watching the grand gesture that his wife-to-be had worked so hard to perfect for him.
Even though Scott couldn’t hear the romantic song, he could feel it instead as his bride shared the experience with him.
The moment meant the world to Scott and, unsurprisingly, people all over the world have been moved by the beautiful tribute.Watch the video below to see the wonderful moment for yourself.
